Beach of Santa Marianita

Santa Marianita Beach

It's a hidden gem on the Manabí coast, just minutes from Manta. With more than 4 km of soft sand and warm waters, it offers a tranquil landscape that combines the intense blue of the sea, the constant breeze, and the simplicity of an authentic fishing village. Unlike crowded beaches, here you'll find a natural setting that invites you to relax, walk at sunset, and enjoy life to the rhythm of the ocean.

One of its greatest charms is the peace and security it exudes. Santa Marianita is a very quiet area where both locals and visitors enjoy themselves without worries. The community is hospitable and friendly, and the beach maintains a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for exploring with confidence, leaving your belongings at the edge of the shore, or simply disconnecting in a stress-free space.

Kitesurf

Known as the kitesurfing capital of Ecuador, Santa Marianita is ideal for those seeking excitement on the waves. Its constant winds, present between May and January, attract athletes from all over the world. Both beginners and experts find the perfect setting here: certified schools, equipment rentals, and the opportunity to experience the adrenaline rush of gliding against an endless horizon.

Whale Watching

Between June and October, the waters of Santa Marianita become the stage for an unforgettable spectacle: the arrival of humpback whales. Majestic leaps, fins that crash against the sea, and the thrill of seeing them up close make this experience a unique memory of your stay.

Experience the magic of nature at its finest and be amazed by the strength and beauty of these ocean giants.

San Lorenzo Beach – El Faro Trail

Just 20 minutes from Santa Marianita, this 1-km trail runs through the dry forest and leads to the stunning San Lorenzo Beach. The route offers natural lookout points with unforgettable views of the cliffs and the sea, where humpback whales can be seen between June and October.

This beach is also a natural sanctuary: around 250 sea turtle nests are recorded here each year. Although swimming is not recommended due to strong currents, the unspoiled environment, seabirds, and rich landscape make this walk a unique experience.

Monkey Passage Trail

Enjoy a unique experience walking a 1.5-kilometer trail that runs through the heart of the rainforest. During the hike, you'll discover the beauty of the native trees, the richness of the local fauna, and, with luck, observe the impressive howler monkeys up close.

Always accompanied by a specialized guide, visitors immerse themselves in a natural environment full of life, learning, and adventure. It's an ideal activity for those who enjoy nature and seek to connect with the magic of the forest.
